The unfortunate dog was sitting in a bedroom that smelled of urine and littered with feces. The poor fellow seemed to have not eaten for ages: every bone was visible on his body. As it turned out later, his weight was only 9 kilograms, which was simply monstrous, because we are talking about a Staffordshire Bull Terrier!
A representative of such a large breed must weigh at least 25 kilograms, so we could safely talk about exhaustion.
The inspector, who ended up in the house, is sure that he saved the dog just a couple of days before starvation.
Fortunately, the man was on time and did not allow the death of the animal. He took it with him and handed it over to doctors and volunteers.
Dave had a lot of questions for James. He wanted to understand why the dog was eating. Besides, he didn’t understand how it happened that the poor fellow lived in dirt, and his feces were not even cleaned in the room?
Since the unfortunate owner could not properly explain what was happening in his house at all, he was simply arrested for actions that could lead to the death of a living being. He was banned from having a pet for 10 years, and also sentenced to 18 months probation. He will have to go through a 19-day “educational” program that will make a man think about his behavior.
As for the glorious dog, he was prescribed a diet that helped the pet gain weight. Currently, he weighs 20 kilograms and looks like a well-fed “boy”!
Soon they will find a new home for him, and the dog will live happily. It is very important that he has a loving owner who will not allow the dog to starve and suffer!
