There was a terrible snowfall that day. Winter came into its own, and a good owner would hardly let his dog out on the street. But what if there is no owner?
And he was cold, this black dog with matted hair. The kid was sitting under the van, not hoping for salvation …
But it has come. Someone noticed a dog that was shivering from the cold, looking with horror at the snow flakes, and told the volunteers about it.
A woman named Donna hurried to help. Literally lying on the cold ground, she wondered how best to pull out the poor animal, who did not know what to expect. She prepared the rope and now tried to reach the dog, which was huddled in a ball of cold and fear …
It turned out to be very difficult, as the frightened dog did not want to make contact. With great difficulty, the woman nevertheless threw a rope and pulled the stubborn pet to the surface.
The tangled creature began to struggle with a loud bark, but Donna managed to calm it down. She wrapped the dog in a warm towel and took the dog to the vet.
All the shaggy, dirty hair had to be shaved off, since it was not possible to comb out the tangles. After some time, the “old fur coat” was lying not far from the place where the dog was lying. It was hard to believe that an hour ago he was walking around in this “outfit”.
And a moment later he was x-rayed and found out that the dog had injuries. An operation was coming, which the dog named Pilgrim withstood with dignity. Three weeks later, the “boy” fully recovered and walked merrily along the streets, accompanied by Donna, as if nothing had happened.
Soon the dog was overgrown with charming fur and turned into a nice pet. He ended up in overexposure to kind people who looked after him and fed him sweets. Pilgrim made friends with other dogs, and with them his life became more fun.
And after a while, the family that sheltered him realized that this dog became dear to them! They became attached to him and decided that they would keep him. True, now the pet’s name is Oscar, and he has already learned his new name. That’s how the dog, almost frozen in the snow, found wonderful owners and became a happy family pet!
