One of the firefighters, a young man named Eddie Tobin, approached the frightened toddler to win his trust. The pet was very frightened and very afraid that he would be touched. I had to sit next to him for about twenty minutes, treating him to pieces of a chocolate bar.
Eddie is almost sure that someone specially brought the baby into this wilderness and left one to die alone … Fortunately, the firefighters found the poor man just in time.
The young man took the animal in his arms and, together with his team, took him to the city to the veterinarian. The men decided to give the baby the nickname Smokey.
Already at the doctor’s appointment, it turned out that the pet’s ribs were broken – perhaps from a kick …
Now Smokey is doing well and he is recovering. But the most important thing is that he will never be alone again. Eddie and his fiancee wanted to adopt a dog, because they already have several rescued dogs in the house. They decided that another baby would not hurt them!
The man who dumped Smokey expected that the pet would not survive, but the fire brigade showed up at the right time in the right place.
