This story took place on the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel in Suffolk, Virginia. Motorists were driving peacefully, in all directions, until an accident suddenly occurred. Immediately several cars collided with each other, and this led to a general panic. In this fuss, at first, few people paid attention to the fact that among the participants in the accident was a dog that was in trouble.
A dog named Kenji was thrown out of the window, after which he flew over the bridge and ended up in the water! After some time, when the panic subsided, and it became clear that people were not seriously injured, all attention turned to the animal.
Meanwhile, the frightened dog was churning the water with his paws to stay afloat! It was clear that the forces could leave him at any moment. And, if at first there was hope that the owner and the people who came running to help could pull the dog out, it soon became clear that this was impossible. A strong current carried Kenji further and further…
And then the police took over. For an hour and a half, rescuers organized a boat, and then tried to get to the dog. The poor dog, which was carried further and further by the current, did not give up. Finally, the police were able to approach the dog and grab it before another wave would throw the dog away from them into the depths.
As soon as Kenji was safe, he immediately experienced a sense of relief and then rushed to hug the rescuer. A moment later, the police officer felt a touch on his face – this dog “kissed” him as a token of gratitude for his salvation!
Fortunately, the glorious dog was not injured after the fall, and his unpleasant adventure ended without consequences. Soon he was handed over to his excited owner, who did not know how to thank the brave rescuer. On that day, many people were worried and worried about Kenji, but after saving the dog, some had tears of happiness in their eyes!
And we are also sincerely grateful to the police for their help!
