Adult residents offended a homeless dog for protecting children

Dasha was still just a puppy when her owners decided that they no longer needed a dog. They left Dasha in the courtyard of a multi-storey building, while they themselves left. The dog turned out to be kind and sociable, she quickly became the best friend of local kids. The children fed the dog, and she played with them, and also growled in warning when she saw that the kids were in danger. Dasha lived in the courtyard of the house for several months.

If the children loved Dasha, then with adults everything was not so simple. Some parents were glad that the children had a four-legged friend, while others, on the contrary, did not approve of Dasha’s presence next to the children and drove her away, often using stones for this. Dasha could not understand why she was offended, because she never even barked at people, except that she could growl at strangers who tried to get close to the playground in the yard. Even when the dog was chased away. She soon returned to the yard, because she could not be away from the children for a long time.

One day the unexpected happened. Dasha, as before, was in the yard, but she did not run around with the children, but sat in one place and whined softly. At times she flattened her ears as if to show she needed help. According to the children, their friend was offended by an adult when Dasha tried to protect the kids from a stranger.

The children did not know the man who attacked Dasha and could not really explain how he harmed her, but the dog could not stand on its paws, it was clear that she was in pain. This story shows how strange the notion that a dog can hurt children can be. Dasha endured a lot of pain herself, trying to protect the children. One of the residents of the house took Dasha to the vet. As it turned out, her paw was damaged, the doctor prescribed treatment.

The dog cannot continue to live on the street, there it simply cannot get better, and it cannot be guaranteed that it will not be attacked again by people who are much more cruel than homeless animals.
