Dasha was still just a puppy when her owners decided that they no longer needed a dog. They left Dasha in the courtyard of a multi-storey building, while they themselves left. The dog turned out to be kind and sociable, she quickly became the best friend of local kids. The children fed the dog, and she played with them, and also growled in warning when she saw that the kids were in danger. Dasha lived in the courtyard of the house for several months.

Some parents were glad that the children had a four-legged friend, while others, on the contrary, did not approve of Dasha’s presence next to the children and drove her away, often using stones for this.
