The family had a picnic on the beach. Sausages were fried on a fire, cold drinks were poured into glasses. The bedspread next to it was full of food being eaten by five adults and a couple of teenagers.
Apparently, the company was going south on vacation, and we have people stopped to stretch a little after being in the car for a long time. Cars stood nearby, music was playing from one of them.
Just a yard from the place where the company was located, a dog was running, hungry and very thin. The dog was young, but already possessed of solid size and beautiful thick hair. The dog jumped, stood up on its hind legs, tried to give a paw and did everything possible to attract the attention of people. At the same time, his gaze darted between the sausages and the bedspread, on which such a coveted food stood. People continued to eat and talk, they paid attention to the dog only occasionally, chuckling at his attempts to perform some kind of acrobatic numbers in their honor. People beckoned the dog, stretching out their hands and calling him, but although everyone was already full, and there was already food left, it never occurred to anyone to treat the dog.
The dog joyfully ran up to the call of people, but ran into only an empty palm. People laughed and called the dog a fool because he kept jumping and running towards them, although they did not intend to feed him.
Soon the rest of the food was packed, most likely they went to the nearest trash can, only the dog never got a crumb. Maybe these people were not evil, but they clearly turned out to be indifferent and callous, and maybe also stupid. They laughed at the dog, who jumped so funny, and she was also very hungry and incredibly affectionate.
We immediately went to the store. For the dog, I bought a chicken meat roll, not very appetizing in appearance, and sausage. Reminiscent of jelly. Unfortunately, there was simply nothing suitable for dog food in the store.
When we came back, we called the dog and offered him our treats. The dog pounced on the food with great enthusiasm. Immediately he ate while standing, then lay down, because he could no longer stand. It was clear that the dog had been starving for a long time and would be happy with any crumb. The dog did not crawl anymore and did not try to do acrobatic stunts, he probably realized that all this was in vain. People will just laugh at him and keep eating, but they won’t share or reward food for a fun show.
It would not hurt you to draw the same conclusions, because life can turn around in different ways. Do not try to win over those who do not like you, do not crawl and crawl, there will be others who will appreciate and pay for your work.
Perhaps other dogs, who have learned all the vicissitudes of street life, will teach this teenager how to get food.
Having finished eating, the dog ran about its business, but it only moved slowly, because the stomach of the animal was finally filled. And for those people who only cared about satisfying their hunger, I would advise you to choose other music, in our area they don’t like those who are loud listening to chanson. Maybe they did not understand this, or maybe they pretended, as they pretended that they did not understand that he wanted them a hungry dog.
