Water was constantly poured out of dog bowls, food was thrown away, and dishes left for homeless animals were broken and trampled on. One of the local residents brought her pet to the dog feeder and drove away the homeless while her dog emptied the bowls. Raida and Chanterelle often remained hungry, and they had to sleep on the ground, which at this time of the year was already covered with snow.
Once a woman was asked if she was not ashamed that her dog was taking the last thing from the homeless, but judging by the answer, she did not even understand that she was doing something wrong.
Raida and Chanterelle were always together, they warmed each other on cold nights, shared equally all the food they could find, and together they overcame the dangers and hardships of life on the street. Often they had to run away together from people who threw stones and sticks at them, but they never even growled in response, preferring to immediately run away rather than respond with aggression.
Dogs are very affectionate and sociable, only during street life this turned out to be more of a disadvantage than an advantage. The chanterelle looks like a collie, it has a soft fur coat and a long nose, characteristic of this breed. Raida is a beautiful dog with short black hair and amber colored eyes. Both dogs have already been captured and have been spayed.
A volunteer who fed the dogs, on the eve of winter, set up booths for them, in which she left a warm bedding. The dogs were very happy with such an improvement in their lives, because the temperature fell seriously below zero. When she came to feed the dogs the next day, the girl saw that they were sitting at the booths and shivering from the cold, but did not go inside.
As it turned out, someone poured medicine with a sharp unpleasant odor inside the booths. The liquid was absorbed into the bedding, even a person from this aroma instantly began to have a headache. Raida and Chanterelle once again found themselves without any shelter from the weather. Soon, the booths completely disappeared, but an announcement appeared stating that the dogs should not be fed, otherwise they would be “dealt with” by other methods.
