A little girl got lost in Australia, in the desert part of the country. The girl went for a walk and could not find her own way home. The search for the child lasted 17 hours, the faithful dog named Max took care of the child all this time.
Aurora lives in Queensland with her family, the girl loves to go for walks, she usually does not go far from home, and she also takes Max, an Australian shepherd dog, with her. On that day, the girl and her pet were also sent for a walk.
Suddenly, clouds covered the sky and it began to rain.
The girl tried to find shelter from the rain and went off the familiar path, and then could not find her way home. When Aurora did not return, the parents sounded the alarm. Search parties went to look for the girl, but all traces of her were washed away by rain. At night, people in this area are not safe, so when it got dark, people returned home, the search for the child continued only at dawn
The next day, not only rescuers, but also several hundred volunteers went out to search for Aurora. People worked for 8 hours, 4 fortunately they managed to find a girl who was a couple of kilometers from home. The first rescuers met not Aurora, but Max, who, sensing people, went out to meet them to show where his mistress was.
Aurora was safe and sound, according to the girl, the dog was next to her all the time, guarding and warming her. Max was given an award by the police for his help to the girl.
According to rescuers, the landscape of the area where Aurora’s family lives is not the best for walking, there are many hills and dangerous paths. The girl walked only a couple of kilometers, but for this area this is a significant distance. The slopes of the hills are steep, they are densely overgrown with shrubs, which greatly slowed down the search.
Together with the rescuers, her grandmother also went in search of the girl. The woman constantly called Aurora by name, and after a while she managed to hear a quiet answer to her call. A dog ran out to the rescuers, and he led people to his little mistress.
The girl was fine, but when she saw how her loved ones were crying, she was very upset. The adults explained to the child that they were crying with happiness that they could find her. No less touching was the meeting of the family with Max.
The dog has been living in the family for 17 years, he is elderly, hears almost nothing and sees poorly. Most of all in the family, Max loves Aurora, so he often goes for walks with her. When the girl got into trouble, Max stayed by her side, protected her and warmed her with his body.
