Nikita was the only son of his parents. He received an education and got a good job, did not disappoint his parents, so for 25 years they gave him an important gift – they paid the first installment for a mortgage. Nikita moved to live in his apartment. The guy’s circle of contacts was small, working as a programmer, he did not often meet new people, and he did not strive for new acquaintances, feeling great in the company of a couple of good friends.
After moving into his apartment, the guy decided that he should get a cat. Soon he really had a pet, moreover, a very unusual one – the front paws of the animal were deformed. With his peculiarity, the baby was born, the owners even wanted to euthanize the baby, but Nikita managed to pick him up. The guy called the cat Handsome, they quickly got along in character and after a couple of weeks became best friends. As soon as Handsome heard the noise of the front door, he immediately ran towards the owner.
After a while in the office, Nikita met a new colleague who became part of their team. Sympathy appeared between the guy and the girl almost immediately, which eventually grew into a romantic relationship. Polina turned out to be an impatient girl and a month after the start of the relationship she moved to live with Nikita. The girl did not love Handsome at first sight and began to ask Nikita to send the cat to a shelter. The guy refused, because he loved his pet and was not going to betray his best friend.
Polina constantly talked about taking the cat to a shelter, but Nikita insisted that the pet would stay in his house. Most of the quarrels between young people arose precisely because they had different attitudes towards Handsome.
As it turned out, not only Handsome, but also Nikita’s parents, who were surprised by the girl’s frankly impudent behavior, did not like Polina. After meeting his son’s girlfriend, Nikita’s parents asked him to seriously consider whether he wants to legitimize their relationship.
Nikita himself was not sure about a joint future with Polina. The guy had serious doubts after he met the parents of his girlfriend. Polina’s father immediately began to mock the cat, arguing that instead of Pretty Boy, the animal should have been called a freak. Nikita’s remarks did nothing to stop the flow of bad jokes about his pet. Father and mother supported Polina, persuading Nikita to give the cat to a shelter, or better to put it to sleep.
The day after this dinner, Nikita came home, but no one met him in the corridor. The guy immediately asked Polina where his cat had gone. The girl did not lie, but said that she took the cat to the clinic and did not take it home.
Nikita did not listen to the girl’s excuses, he immediately ran out of the house and began to bypass all the clinics in his area. Five hours later, he found Pretty Boy and took him home. Having crossed the threshold of his apartment, Nikita immediately pointed out to Polina the door. In order to pack up and leave, Nikita gave the girl a day. The next day, neither Polina nor her things were in the guy’s house. The girl was convinced that by preferring a cat to her, Nikita offended her very much. Nikita returned to his former life, where his faithful friend Krasavchik was waiting for him every evening from work.
