Mara was tall, she had a deep voice. The dog was a born guard, so he was responsible for the safety of his owners’ home. Mara could freely run around the site, she only spent her nights in a booth on a chain. Every evening, together with the owner, the dog went for a walk through the streets of the village.
The locals loved Mara, the dog was calm and obedient, so when she had puppies, new owners were immediately found for them.
At the age of one and a half months, the babies learned to eat on their own, and the owners of Mary decided that it was time to give them to new families. The kids went to a new life in the evening, at a time when Mara and her mistress were walking. At home, the dog immediately realized that the booth was empty. She searched the yard for some time, but could not find them. The dog looked reproachfully at the owner, who, in her opinion, was supposed to protect the kids in her absence, after which she stopped paying attention to the owners who tried to console her.
Mara whined all night, and only closer to the morning silence fell in the yard. Deciding that the dog had come to terms with the loss of the kids, the owners let her run around the site in the morning.
In the afternoon, the owner went out into the yard and noticed that Mara was lying at her booth, but not alone, but with her three kids, who drink her milk with pleasure.
The man did not immediately believe his eyes, because only yesterday he gave all the kids to their new owners, so he did not expect to see them again in his yard.
The man began to call the neighbors who took the kids. One of the owners of the puppies had just begun the search for the missing pet, the other had already completed them without any result and was about to call to tell about what had happened, and the last only after the words of the man noticed that the puppy had disappeared.
Mara was able not only to find her babies in the village, but also to pick them up so quietly that people did not see or hear anything.
For the second time, the puppies were taken to new homes by the whole family, taking Mara with them. Every evening, during a walk, the hostess with the dog visited those yards where the puppies now lived, so that the caring mother would be convinced that no one offends her kids.
