We met this baby in August. It was Sunday, the sun was hot from the very morning. Elena wrote to us about the baby. A woman and her family were driving to the sea when they noticed a kitten on the highway connecting Kurs and Voronezh. The family saw the baby quite by accident, stopping for a short time near the bus stop near the highway. The place was deserted, so there was almost no chance that someone would accidentally find the baby, and Elena decided to write to us.
Photos of the unfortunate kitten brought us into a state of shock. The message came late in the evening, and the way to the stop was not close. We didn’t know if the kitten was still sitting at the bus stop, if he survived the heat. Our volunteer left for the baby the next day in the morning.
After driving for an hour along the highway and arriving at the indicated stop, the volunteer immediately noticed the kitten, which had remained in place all this time. The kid was lying on a bench, trying to escape from the sun behind its metal wall.
On both sides of the stop there was a forest belt, and behind it fields began. It was no less than a few kilometers from this place to the habitation of people. It seemed that the baby was left here for good luck: if you are lucky, people will see him and take him away, and if you are not lucky, then he will perish here. This kitten was lucky, we found and took him away.
Kittens in the car always calm down, usually because the cabin is warm, but this kid was incredibly happy with the coolness from the working air conditioner, so Posti immediately calmed down and fell asleep. If Elena and her family had not made a stop on the way, the kitten could have died on the street from the scorching sun.
All the plans of our volunteer for the weekend were disrupted by this trip, it helped to save the life of a little kitten. Very soon he got stronger and recovered, became a charming fluffy kitten.
Due to the reaction of the cat to the vaccination, the search for a home for him had to be postponed a bit, but once he was ready, the volunteers quickly found a new home for him and a good family who take care of the baby and give him their love.
