This story is about a thoroughbred black cat named Churchill. The animal was started by a family from Smolensk, in which he lived for several years. Over time, the child developed an allergy to cat hair and it was decided that there was no place for a cat in the house anymore.
For the first time I read about Churchill in social networks. Seeing a photo of a handsome black man, I was sure that it would not be difficult to find a new home for him. I was mistaken. Then they wrote to me that the cat needed to be taken away urgently.
The owners of Churchill said that he was not neutered, which means that he is suitable for breeding kittens, but I don’t do this. This was followed by a threat that if I did not immediately take the cat away, they would simply throw it out in the forest.
I took the cat, at first he could not understand that he had been betrayed, and did not even imagine how many diseases he had acquired from the former owners, who did not particularly care about the proper care of the animal.
Churchill was often closed on the balcony in winter, so he developed advanced rhinotracheitis and had problems with his kidneys. Due to malnutrition, there were problems with the stomach and intestines, frequent constipation for many days. It was far from the first attempt to pick up the right food for him.
From the moment the cat was with me, his treatment began. Over time, the animal realized that the owners had betrayed him, longing and strong feelings were added to physical illnesses. Churchill shares the cage with the cat, who was a hostage despite the fact that she lived in her house, with her owner. Animals try to help each other, support in this situation.
The muzzle of the cat is very expressive, unfortunately, recently only great sadness is visible on it. The cat also developed urolithiasis; to improve his condition, he had to undergo a course of injections. The problem has not gone away, we continue the treatment, and after its completion, a new ultrasound and tests will be required to see the picture more accurately.
