A dog was brought to one of the Spanish shelters with an extreme degree of exhaustion. The animal had owners, but they did not feed it, which brought it almost to death. The dog was taken away from the owners and placed in a shelter.
From constant starvation, the dog lost strength, she could not rise to her paws, her bones clearly showed through the skin. As it turned out, people did not give the animal not only food, but also water, because of which the dog’s stomach simply refused to work. The doctors were pessimistic, although they did their best to help the animal survive.
The dog had experienced many terrible moments in her life, and now, when she finally got help, she was not going to give up. On the same day that the animal was in the shelter, Eduardo Rodriguez came there. The man owns the premises, which was rented and equipped as an animal shelter. Eduardo did not do volunteer work, he never even kept pets in his house and had no idea how to take care of them. His attitude towards animals was changed by just one look at the emaciated dog, in whose eyes an unbridled desire to live shone.
Eduardo decided to do his best to help the dog. Doctors developed a program of nutrition and care for the animal, everything that was required to fulfill the prescriptions of veterinarians was purchased, in particular drugs that allowed the animal to organize perinatal nutrition.
The treatment was successful, the gastrointestinal tract of the animal soon began to work, it was able to eat on its own. Every day Eduardo came to the shelter, he helped feed the dog, when it started to rise to its paws, he took it for short walks.
After four months, rehabilitation was completed, and the dog was completely transformed. She turned out to be a very energetic, playful and affectionate girl who every minute tries to show her gratitude to the people who helped her survive. When the dog recovered, Eduardo took her to his house. Both the man and his family are happy that they had a dog that they immediately fell in love with. “Her desire to live was so great that it impressed me at first sight. I am glad that she was able to overcome all obstacles. Now this dog has become a member of our family, we will always take care of it,” says the new owner of the pet.
