Jessie’s little dachshund was found in the entrance of a multi-storey building. None of the residents could remember seeing this dog in the area, nor did the local dog lovers, who knew each other well, remember it. No one has ever seen anyone in this area walking with a dachshund of this color.
It’s hard for me to imagine that someone just took and threw the animal away from home, dooming it to starvation and cold death. For several weeks, Jessie was in foster care with the people who found her.
They struggled to find the owners of the dog, hoping that Jessie was lost and they would come for her soon. When the search did not yield results, the baby was taken to overexposure by the curator, who was supposed to take care of her treatment and search for a new family.
Living with a curator, Jessie began to tremble for a long time, as soon as any sound was heard in the apartment. The dog was afraid of sudden movements, each time pressing into a corner and freezing when people appeared nearby. The veterinarian found a number of diseases, in particular, exhaustion, inflammation of the mammary glands, according to the doctor, early mating became its cause. The fact that Jessie was starving was immediately noticeable.
As soon as food appeared in front of her, she began to greedily swallow it, not wasting time chewing. At first, the curator fed her in small portions, giving food from his hands so that the dog would not grab everything at once.
Jessie took time to adapt, and also a lot of love, affection and attention. Thanks to the patience of her handler and her desire to help, the dog soon ceased to be afraid of people, she learned that they can not only run around, but also caress and care.
The dog stopped eating for the future, and learned to properly satisfy his appetite. Jessie became bolder and decided to leave the rug in the hallway, going to get acquainted with the apartment.
