Massachusetts kayakers practice on the Blackstone River. During the swim, the men noticed a bag in the water and decided to swim up and see what was in it. Approaching, the men realized that the bag was moving and sounds were coming from it.
When the men pulled the bag out of the water and untied it, the puppies were inside. The babies looked to be just over a month old. The babies were so thin and light that the bag did not immediately sink to the bottom and they were able to survive. The kids were lucky that at that time there were people on the river and that they became interested in the bag and came to the rescue in time.
The kayaker immediately swam to the shore, and then went to the police. The puppies were handed over to the police, who were very surprised by such an unusual rescue story.
The chief of police could not even imagine that one of the inhabitants of the city is capable of doing this to animals. The officers immediately launched an investigation, announcing that whoever helped get on the trail of the criminal would receive a reward of five thousand dollars.
Puppies were transferred under the care of animal rights activists, who took all measures to cure and feed the babies. At first, the puppies were bottle-fed, but very soon all six kids became independent, volunteers began to look for new owners for them.
