The first step to a new life
Volunteers took Finn from the owner. By this time, the dog was no longer getting up on its paws and was carried in the trunk of a car in its arms. The road to the refuge took two hours, during all this time the animal never moved. First, the dog was shown to the vet, who noted not only complete exhaustion, but also a large number of parasites, hair loss caused by diseases.
Rehabilitation
Two years of abuse had little to no effect on Finn’s character. The dog turned out to be sociable, he was not afraid of people, but on the contrary, he was attracted to them. Gradually Finn got better and gained weight, his hair began to grow back. Care and healing brought him back to life and transformed him, both outwardly and inwardly.
When Finn recovered, he became a very handsome man. When it was taken from a negligent owner, no one could have imagined that a thin and unfortunate-looking animal could change like that.
The newly grown hair became thick and shiny, a light appeared in the expressive eyes. When the vet weighed the dog on the first visit, Finn was only 40 pounds, he was fattened up at the shelter and he weighed double, which is normal for a healthy dog of his breed and size.
