“Evil and nasty”: that’s why the sphinx was let down to live from the apartment to the basement

As soon as the owner of the animal left to work on a shift, her pet immediately turned out to be put out the door. The girl’s aunt drove the Sphynx cat into the porch, not at all worried that these animals could hardly endure the cold.

Judging by the way the cat looked, she had to spend at least a few weeks in the basement. Her mistress told us about the Siren. The girl accidentally found out about her aunt’s act, she was far away and could not help the cat in any way, so she called the volunteers, hoping that they would take the Siren out of the basement. We decided to try to find a new home for the cat.

First, Sirena went to an overexposure, and we immediately ran into problems. The cat behaved aggressively not only towards other animals, but also towards volunteers. As soon as the girls caring for the cats sat down on the floor, the sphinx suddenly pounced on them, marking their faces with its claws. It got to the point that the volunteers were afraid to bend down to change the food and water in the bowls of their charges.

Sirena had to be isolated from the rest of the animals, which is not so easy to do under the conditions of overexposure. After a few days, the cat looked a little calmer, but she was still nervous and did not want to contact anyone, although she allowed the volunteers to pick her up. Despite all the efforts of people, the nervous tension in Sirena’s behavior did not subside.

Over time, Sirena’s health was restored, she was sterilized and began to look for a new family for her. In the ad, we immediately indicated that the cat is stressed, so it takes a lot of time to adapt, its own space, and also, it will not get along with other pets in the house. When we started receiving calls, it seemed that people were just looking at a photo of a purebred cat and not reading anything we wrote.

Everyone really wanted to take Sirena and said that for many years they only dreamed of a sphinx, while people had absolutely no idea how to care for cats of this breed, and even more so, what to do when a cat is in a stressful state.
We had to weed out dozens of applicants, but we were able to find a home for Sirena. The curator opted for a married couple who assured that the cat would have its own place where it could hide and no one would force it to communicate against its will. The family also promised not to rush Sirena during adaptation, to buy her the food and filler that she is used to.
The new owners fulfilled all their obligations, and also, they loved the cat very much and took care of it, therefore, after a while, Sirena turned from a dressed up and evil fury into an affectionate cat who loves to spend time with her owners. Now Sirena takes a bath with pleasure, enjoys watermelon and even goes for walks with her family.
