Having survived two strokes, the spaniel learned to move around the house. Already a couple of days after the stroke, the dog decided that he had recovered enough and tried to walk at least a couple of meters. Unfortunately, the attack was quite strong and it was difficult even for the spaniel to get up on his feet, not to mention climbing the stairs. The dog’s favorite place was in the master bedroom on the second floor.
The head of the family came to the rescue and decided to take care of the dog. The owners blocked the stairs to stop the dog’s attempts to climb up, risking harm to his health. So in front of the steps there were special gates.
It was a pity for the family to leave the animal below to spend the night alone, because before his illness the dog slept in the room with the owners, so the father of the family decided that all family members would take turns sleeping on the sofa in the living room, so that Spike felt that there were people nearby who he cares. The wife and daughter of the man’s plan approved.
“When dad created this schedule, I started a semester at the university, so at first only my parents slept downstairs with Spike, as soon as I arrived, I joined the schedule,” says Katherine.
The girl says that her father loves dogs, and Spike is his best friend. Despite the schedule, the man spends almost every night in the living room with his dog, and also tries to devote every free minute to him.
Katherine took a photo of her father and Spike as they slept on the couch. The picture quickly gained thousands of likes and comments.
