When I approached Rex’s booth, I saw that the dog was lying on the ground. Lada was inside, but for some reason she did not go out. I knew right away that something was wrong. As it turned out, my intuition did not fail me. Lada suffered from a tick bite.
Rex ceded his booth to his friend and lay next to her, making sure no one disturbed her. The dog was worried, he even refused to eat, which had never happened to him before.
We took Lada to the vet. The doctor saved her by providing assistance absolutely free of charge.
Lada’s health had to be carefully monitored, and I simply could not go to check on her twice a day, so I decided to take her to my place for the time that was required for a full recovery.
Lada immediately made friends with the rest of my pets, at the same time, she behaved very politely, always waited for a walk to do her business, did not gnaw on furniture, treated the child kindly and fulfilled all my requests and commands. She did not create any inconvenience, we even thought about leaving her to live with us, but everything was not so simple …
Rex abandoned his booth and moved to live under the windows of our house. Every day he waited for Lada and I to go out for a walk. I was very sorry for the dog, I had no idea what to do next. The neighbors had already begun to look at Rex disapprovingly and tried to drive him out of the yard. I feared for his well-being. Suddenly, a man called me, he wanted to take Lada to him, saying that he lives in the private sector and he has enough space for a dog.
We talked with the man, I realized that I could trust him with Lada. When we put the girl in the car that was supposed to deliver Lada to a new home, I had to hold Rex. A tear appeared in the eyes of the dog, he could not imagine how he would live without his girlfriend.
As soon as the car drove off, the dog broke free and ran after her. I decided to try my luck and called the new owner of Lada, describing the situation, after hearing my story, the man thought for a few seconds, and then said that he had enough space for two dogs.
Soon Rex went after Lada. Their meeting was incredibly touching and joyful. Now they live in a new house and enjoy good changes in their lives together. There is really a lot of space in the yard, but the dogs, as before, spend the night in the same booth, closely clinging to each other.
