Anya drove to the gas station and was about to go further when the dog ran up to her. The animal was small, dirty, and unusually thin. The dog did not leave the girl and seemed to be trying to call her somewhere. Anya decided to follow the animal, although she did not fully understand why she was doing this.
Following the dog, the girl moved farther and farther away from the gas station, approaching the highway, along which trucks passed every now and then. There was only a wasteland around, Anya could not understand why the animal had brought her here.
Having carefully looked at the girl, the dog descended into the ditch by the road, where there was a drain pipe that turned into a concrete structure.
Anya went downstairs after the dog and, turning on the flashlight, directed it into the pipe. Thanks to the light, the girl managed to see the little puppies that were sitting in the pipe. Anya immediately realized that the dog led her to her children.
Anya found my number and called, talking about a dog who is trying to find help for her little ones. At that moment, we did not have the easiest financial situation and a large number of wards, but looking at the photo of the puppies, I could not refuse, especially since at the first serious rain the kids would simply be washed away with water gushing through the pipe.
The cold and nearby busy road also added to the problem. Later, the gas station employees said that the father of the puppies died on this road when he tried to cross to the opposite side.
Katya and Lena immediately went to pick up the dogs, Anya and her husband Pavel were already there, trying to help. The man somewhere found a fishing net, with which he tried to pull the kids out of the pipe. The puppies sat far from the entrance, it was impossible to reach them, and they themselves were afraid to go out to people. We were very surprised to see Anya and her husband on the spot, because usually people disappear, believing that by informing us about the animals they did everything they could.
Pavel lay on the ground in a hole and pulled out puppies one by one. In total, there were 6 kids, while Pavel lured them out of the pipe, their mother was sitting in the car, trying to warm up. Surprisingly, the dog easily trusted people with both himself and his children.
When we gathered the whole family, we faced one more question: where to place them all? At first, it was decided to allocate a shed to the family, which had recently been vacated. To make mom and kids feel comfortable, we put an inflatable pool and a heater there.
