The German Shepherd Margot has recently become our ward. Before that, we saw a post that said that the dog was running in the field, far from any habitation. My friends set off in search of Margot, who managed to find her despite the fact that it was night outside. We were very happy for Margosha, she reciprocated, joyfully throwing herself into the arms of her rescuers and constantly smiling.
First of all, the dog was taken to the veterinarian, who determined that she was expecting babies. We arranged a shepherd in a pet hotel, deciding that when she rests and gains strength, we will take her to the clinic for sterilization. Less than two days have passed since we took Margosha from the street, when her health deteriorated sharply. Every minute the dog became weaker, so she was urgently taken to the clinic. Doctors suggested that Margo had enteritis.
For two days, the doctors and I fought for every minute of the dog’s life. For the duration of the treatment, Margo took in Sveta, who knows how to help animals and has helped us more than once with our wards. For three nights, Sveta practically did not sleep, lying on the floor next to Margot and watching her well-being.
Unfortunately, our efforts were in vain…
Starvation, life on the street, pregnancy – all this turned out to be too much for Margot’s body to cope. She could not overcome the consequences of being betrayed by being thrown out in the middle of a field. Margo stayed with us for only two days, but she managed to fall in love with everyone who managed to get to know her.
It was a wonderful dog, and we would definitely find a new family for her, in which we would reciprocate her love and loyalty, but fate decreed otherwise …
