I went to the animal capture point in order to take some pictures of sick dogs. The pictures are needed to illustrate the posts, with the help of which I try to find new families for animals, or at least curators. It is very difficult for me to restrain my emotions after what I saw in the capture …
As soon as I crossed the threshold, the dogs barked in unison, trying to get my attention. They immediately ran closer to the net of the enclosure, hoping that they would get at least a fleeting caress from a person. The kids tried to stick their noses and paws through the net, they barked and whined, pushed each other. Even if you have never interacted with dogs, it becomes clear to the rhinestone that they are trying to draw attention to themselves and get at least a little warmth and care.
These kids know for sure that without human help they will have a bad time, because after 10 days in captivity, where they are also not very sweet, they will again remain on the street. Each visitor is perceived by the dogs as their chance for a better life, because winter is coming soon, and it will be very difficult for them to survive on the streets.
This baby also approached the net, but she didn’t run like the others, but hobbled, because one of her front paws didn’t work, the girl just dragged her behind her. Putting her sore paw on the bars, the baby began to look into the camera lens, as if explaining that she really needed help.
The trapping staff said that the dog stayed with them for almost the entire period allotted to it and very soon they would release it into the street. I still could not understand why fate and people were so cruel to these animals. We do not have a shelter in the city that could take care of at least sick animals.
Stray dogs are treated like garbage, and sometimes worse, they have no rights, they barely survive, relying only on themselves. How can you treat living beings like this, beings who feel and understand everything, who ask for so little: a little food, water and affection?
