In one of the districts of Kursk, known for its notoriety, a small dog lay for several days. The last days were rainy, and the animal lay simply in the middle of the street, nothing protected from the weather. People were passing by. But none of them even thought about the fact that the animal lies in the cold and rain against its will. Only one woman decided that the dog was not here of her own free will and came up to check on her. By that time, the animal had practically not reacted to what was happening around.

The woman left, but when she got home, she immediately called me and told me about a dog that looks like a fox and which lies motionless on the sidewalk. The story of the woman was very chaotic, I could not understand the state of the animal.

I called a friend and asked me to pick Chanterelle off the street and take her to the vet. Soon he was in place, but by that time the animal already looked very bad. Her condition is difficult to describe with the words “thin and weak”, rather, it was extreme exhaustion, and understanding this, Chanterelle looked at the world around her in such a way that the word said goodbye to him. The dog seemed to appreciate the fact that they came to her aid, but understood that it happened too late.

We immediately took Chanterelle to the clinic. According to doctors, if the dog had not fallen into their hands, it would have lived on the street for one more day. It was clear that the baby had been starving for a long time, she had piroplasmosis and sore paws. The veterinarian allowed us to leave Chanterelle in the hospital, promising to personally look after her.

The morning call to the clinic was not easy for me, I was afraid that Chanterelle did not survive that night. It turned out that my worries were in vain and under the close attention of the doctor, the girl became much better. The doctor also said that donors are needed, without whose help the treatment will not progress much.

An hour later, Linda and Martha came through the clinic door. Both dogs are Alexander’s wards and have already donated blood for their relatives more than once. And this time the help of these two animals helped, Chanterelle began to recover. She had an appetite and increased strength. We washed her and just look how beautiful she has become.
