A cat with a sore nose asked people for help, and they only turned away from him

The cat was very weak, he moved with difficulty between the tables, stopping at each of them in the hope that people would treat him to food. The cat no longer had the strength to hunt or simply find food in the trash. People either ignored the cat, or chased it away and pushed it away, while an expression of disgust for the animal appeared on their faces.

A man who ran into a cafe for a bite to eat watched this scene from the side. Time passed, but none of the visitors even thought of helping the animal, although its strength was running out with each new step. The man decided that he should help the animal. He got up from the table. He went up to the cat and, in front of the surprised visitors, took him in his arms and carried him away. The man took the cat to the shelter. He immediately thought to contact the veterinarians himself, but after carefully examining the cat and noticing that he had a crippled nose, he realized that the bill from the veterinarian would be huge and he simply could not pay for it. The guy was not even sure that the doctors would be able to save the cat’s nose.

There were no places in the shelter, but in view of the state of the cat, he was nevertheless accepted. Veterinarians examined the animal and found that it was suffering from a fungal infection that developed quickly and could soon have fatal consequences, since it had already entered the respiratory tract. Skimble, as the cat was called, was close to the point of no return, after which all the efforts of veterinarians would have been in vain.

The shelter staff told the guy who brought the cat that he would have to spend at least $ 120 daily on the treatment and maintenance of the animal, but he honestly answered that he simply did not have that kind of money. In order to find money for treatment, volunteers announced a collection on social networks. It was not easy to take care of Skimble, because he could not even eat himself, but gradually, thanks to the efforts of doctors and donations, the cat managed to be treated. Soon he was eating on his own and began to move a little.
