For more than a year, three blind cats remained in the shelter. All this time, the animals were waiting for a new owner to be found for them, but the shelter staff were not sure that someone would want to take their wards.

The hostess for the animals was still found. The woman says that she was afraid to take responsibility for three animals at once, which need special care, but a year later she claims that she is happy, because the cats respond to her care with boundless love.
These cats were found just before Christmas. They lived in Dubai in abandoned warehouses. The cats weren’t blind from birth, but severe colds and conjunctivitis were complications, and all three lost their sight. The cats were taken from the street and transferred to the care of the shelter. The volunteers named the boy Blue and the girls Willa and Madow.

As it turned out, the cats used to have an owner. The man who lived next door to him took Blue from the shelter, but soon returned it, because the cat missed his sisters very much, and the man could not support three cats at once. Without his sisters, Blue cried constantly, he did not eat and hardly slept, wandering around the house in search of his loved ones.
The staff realized that all three cats needed one owner, but during the year of their stay in the shelter, they could not find such a one. When the situation became critical, because they could not keep the animals in the shelter longer, a miracle happened: Katherine Magno offered to take the whole family at once.

“I had no experience caring for animals with special needs. But only after I learned their story, I could not calmly imagine that they would be separated or even worse, put to sleep, ”the woman says.

Since Katherine already had several cats, her biggest concern was how her pets would perceive each other.

“I was scared. I have read several different manuals for the care of blind animals and none of them gave me cause for optimism. I was afraid, but at the same time, I decided to take it as a challenge.”
Surprisingly, the whole trinity quickly got used to the new house and made friends with the rest of its inhabitants. The cats are curious and playful.

According to Katherine, the behavior of her new wards is no different from the behavior of other cats.
“They are all very different, but all are unusually affectionate and need attention. Probably, in the absence of vision, they rely more on signals that come from the heart, ”says Katherine.
