“If a dog is a stray, does he have no right to life?”: The clinic refused to treat a homeless dog

A week ago, people noticed a puppy that found a place for himself on the steps of the store. The dog was in poor condition, refused the offered food and water and hardly moved, not reacting in any way to the people around. There were also those residents of Chelyabinsk who decided to take care of the baby and took him to the veterinarian, however, the doctors refused to help.

The baby was taken to the doctor by Evgenia, who took him to the store. “It was clear from the puppy that he had no owners. When I was stingy, I tried to treat him with sausage, but he did not eat, and in general, he almost did not react to me. The puppy was breathing hard, so I thought he was sick. The puppy did not get up, it was clear that he was walking under himself, ”recalls Evgenia.

With such dogs we can not
Evgenia went to the nearest veterinary clinic, which was located a few houses away. She asked the doctor to walk with her to the store and assess the condition of the dog, saying that I would pay for it as an appointment. The doctor said that he did not intend to leave the clinic. Evgenia called her husband and together they brought the dog to the clinic. According to the woman, the doctor reacted very aggressively to their appearance in the clinic with a puppy:

“Take that dog and leave immediately. You need to get out of here right now, ”the veterinarian began to shout. As it turned out, the clinic staff already knew the dog, at the request of local kids, one of the adults had already brought it here.

The woman tried to explain to the veterinarian that she would pay for both his work and the treatment that the animal would need. Eugenia found a girl who was willing to take care of the puppy, but she couldn’t pay the bills from the clinic. Then the women agreed that Evgenia helps financially, and the girl takes care of the animal.

The doctor did not react to Evgenia’s words that she would pay, continuing to yell. He demanded that the dog be taken out of the clinic immediately and threatened to call security. The doctor argued his demand by the fact that the dog has no vaccinations and it can bite and infect someone with rabies. Such arguments do not stand up to scrutiny, because the dog did not look like a rabid one at all, at the same time, the doctor could protect himself simply by wearing gloves. Is it possible that if a dog does not have owners and a home, then it can be deprived of the right to life?
