A funny thing happened in China the other day. While people announced quarantine in connection with the coronavirus and decided to limit all kinds of contacts, 14 elephants gave themselves a real banquet.
Hungry animals began to look for food, but soon climbed into a deserted village located in Yunnan province. The elephants wandered for a long time until they came upon a store of corn wine. They liked this drink so much that the animals literally emptied all the containers. Having drunk alcohol from the heart, the elephants went for a walk. A little later, the two of them felt an immediate desire to fall asleep, after which they stretched out right on the tea plantations.
Photos that appeared on the social networks Reddit and Twitter delighted users, because sleeping elephants look very funny. Many even began to joke that their friends after such libations behave in exactly the same way.
By the way, the heavy guests did not harm anyone (as you already understood, there were simply no people). Only the houses in which the animals climbed were damaged.
According to experts, there is nothing surprising in the behavior of elephants. No matter how strange it may sound, many representatives of the fauna have a positive attitude towards alcohol, especially after tasting it. The reaction to it in animals can be different – both lethargy and drowsiness, as well as irritability and aggression. In a word, everything is like with people!
It is worth noting that today the number of elephants is decreasing. In the same China, only 250 individuals remained, and not in all parts of the country. If once they could be found everywhere, today the situation has completely changed.
I would like to see the population of elephants still increased. As for the clumsy heroes of our story, who went to the village for a banquet, they are in perfect order!
