Cloning is not a new phenomenon, but even today opinion on this topic is ambiguous. Someone categorically does not accept such things, and someone is ready for anything just to return an expensive creature. Especially if it is a dog that has played a huge role in people’s lives.
Alicia and David hardly thought about cloning a pet while he was alive. Marley, as their loyal dog was called, was more than just a wonderful friend and family member. The four-legged pet saved Alicia’s life!
In 2014, when she was pregnant, the family went for a walk. Marley was there, protecting his mistress. Suddenly, the expectant mother noticed some kind of stick. She wobbled and was ready to fall. At that moment, Marley jumped forward! He realized it was a snake and jumped to scare it away. The reptile did not expect such a rebuff, and therefore crawled to the side. It was a rattlesnake, one bite of which would cost the life of both Alicia and her baby.
After that, the owners became even more attached to the four-legged hero, literally adoring him. Alas, Marley soon died. He was 12 years old, and the favorite “went to the rainbow.”
The owners realized that they would not be able to forget their devoted friend, and therefore they decided to make an identical dog. People cloned him! Soon they already had a pet named Ziggy.
The Labrador is not only outwardly indistinguishable from the deceased dog, but also has exactly the same character! Ziggy loves to play, run, he likes the same toys and he has exactly the same habits! The owners say that their dog Marley is with them: at least they see him in the new pet!
Alicia and David do not regret for a second that they cloned the dog. They made this decision almost immediately after Marley’s death. Losing such a wonderful pet was simply beyond their strength!
By the way, the cost of such a procedure was 50 thousand dollars, but the family says that every dollar spent was worth it.
“The result exceeded all my expectations! Ziggy turned out even better than I expected!” – admitted happy David.
Well, the idea of cloning may seem strange to some, but we understand the feelings of a family that has lost their beloved dog, and we are sincerely glad that Ziggy was able to help them get over the loss!
